Did you miss our February episode on competency-based learning? A recording of “Encouraging and Sustaining Competency-Based Learning Environments: Lessons from New Hampshire” with featured presenter Paul Leather is now available.
The Student-Centered Learning Research Collaborative online seminar series provide a space for attendees to learn about pressing issues and new developments in student-centered learning and discuss them with prominent leaders in the field. The January 19th seminar will feature Paul Leather, New Hampshire Deputy Commissioner of Education, Research Collaborative advisor, and nationally renowned leader in student-centered reforms. His presentation, “Encouraging and Sustaining Competency-Based Learning Environments: Lessons from New Hampshire,” will focus on what works, and, just as importantly, what doesn’t work when implementing competency-based education at the system and classroom levels. The webinar will be facilitated by our Research Director, Eric Toshalis, with responses and reflections provided by our Students at the Center Distinguished Fellows. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide their own insights.
The seminar will take place on Thursday, January 19th, from at 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. EST and requires advance registration. For those who can not attend, seminar recording and materials will be shared on the Students at the Center Hub after the event.
