During the session, Dr. Matthews, a former math teacher and math education researcher, and Dr. Alison Shell from Digital Promise will discuss the importance for teachers to develop healthy mindsets and sense of belonging in the classroom as part of their equity-based teaching practices. They will provide instructional strategies to help teachers analyze, coordinate, and adjust instruction in order to dismantle threats against students’ senses of belonging in the classroom while improving instruction.
This online event for educators and school and district leaders will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST. Registration is required.
