Models of Excellence is an open resource featuring exemplary pre-K to 12th-grade student work. The collection is curated by EL Education, a collaboration between The Harvard Graduate School of Education and Outward Bound USA, whose mission is to support teachers.

The website showcases interdisciplinary projects produced by students around the country. Projects can be searched by grade level and subject areas and feature a description of the project and school, pictures or videos of the final product, and links to related resources. These projects highlight the talents of students tackling real community needs and range from publication of a guide on chicken rearing to the construction of tiny homes for the homeless. It also highlights student writing samples such as lab reports and books.

In addition to the models of student work, educators will find the resources section helpful. It includes videos, articles, and protocols to support using student work to plan instruction, analyze the models, and spark discussions. Students can also view projects as inspirational examples.
