This webinar will introduce a week-long curriculum to prepare students for the 21st-century economy by empowering them to make informed education and career choices. Through five free ready-to-go lessons, students can engage in economics, personal finance, and the history of the economics of globalization and automation and the impact these have on their future careers.
The objective of this edWebinar is for teachers to leave with clear instructions for teaching this innovative week-long curriculum. This edWebinar will be highly interactive. The focus will be on 3 days of the curriculum and will model how to teach it by sampling a few of the many interactive teaching activities used. Specifically, these models will be discussed:
- How to open class with a game. After playing, the post-game discussion will be modeled.
- How to use a video with embedded practice questions to enhance engagement.
- How to use a free interactive website to drive student engagement and learning.
- How to adapt the curriculum to a virtual teaching environment.
This edWebinar will be of value to high school and higher education teachers and school and district leaders. After, participants will have access to a free copy of the curriculum, with answer keys.
This free event will take place Tuesday, April 14, 2020 from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm EDT. Registration is required.
