This guide was designed to help districts build support for personalized learning through the development of a communications plan to reach a variety of stakeholders. The guide lays out clear steps within four key phases of communications planning: planing and aligning, looking at your foundations, designing your plan, and reflecting. Each section includes short profiles of districts that have partnered with Education Elements to illustrate these steps in action.
This guide was written for school system leaders, including superintendents, school board members, and principals at any stage of personalized learning implementation. However, it includes tips and links to additional resources that other audiences – including communications directors, technology officers, and teachers – may find useful. Also, while the guide was designed to support blended and personalized learning, the recommendations and resources could be applied to any large scale school improvement initiative.
