This working document lays out the roadmap for a shift to student centered learning in Pittsfield, New Hampshire. The logic model looks at several areas for improvement: development of 21st century skills such as civic responsibility, study skills, and social-emotional learning; systems and infrastructure support for student centered learning; community involvement; student achievement; and student ownership. For each area the model lays out the current assessment, goals, strategies and activities, implementation objectives, and target milestones to reach over four and seven year time frames.
The model may be useful to members of the Pittsfield community interested in learning about or supporting the district transformation process. It could also be a useful example for other districts looking to develop a similar working document.
