STEM for Social Justice

By ASCD
November 22, 2018

This issue of ASCDExpress pulls together many articles that look at STEM from a social justice lens. Together the articles provide many ideas for ways to encourage interest and provide more opportunities in STEM for youth typically underrepresented in these fields. Articles look at how to use mentorships and opportunities to explore real world problems to encourage interest in STEM fields as well as how to help math teachers incorporate STEM skills in the classroom.

This curated reading list will be of interest to educators and school and district leaders, looking to expand all students exposure to STEM careers and better equip students from all backgrounds with the skills to pursue these careers.
