This tool is designed to teach students cognitive, social, and self-management skills. The program, from Student Success Skills, can be led by a school counselor. Counselors conduct the program with classes or groups of students over five weeks. Teachers sit in to learn more about these skills so they can encourage skill development throughout the year. The five 45-minute sessions focus on building skills to master the curriculum, develop healthy habits, build relationships, and encourage a supportive classroom culture. The program is designed for grades 4-12. A separate program is available for grades 2-3. An additional program has been designed for counselors to work with smaller groups of students who need additional support. Classroom manuals for all programs are available for purchase on the website.
