This resource highlights emerging ideas as states leverage this flexibility through their implementation plans. The interactive map shows states that have released their plans for public comment and provides a summary of the personalized learning elements included. State plans can also be searched by ESSA focus areas such as vision, accountability, and supporting excellent educators.
This resource was designed to help all stakeholders identify and better understand the benefits of diverse approaches to personalized learning. In addition, it may spark conversation between policymakers and education leaders in states, which may help anticipate potential unintended complications and consequences of their proposed ideas.
