The Better Math Teaching Network is a group of  researchers and practitioners looking to transform high school math instruction to become more student-centered. The network is committed to changing math instruction and professional development for math teachers. For a glimpse of the network in action, this article in MindShift discusses how algebra teachers in the network are using improvement science to learn new ways to make math instruction more student focused and support each others’ improvement in practice.

The website and the above article provide a look at the the core principals and approaches of the Better Math Teaching Network which might spark new ideas for any math teacher. High School math teachers in New England can also learn how to apply to join the network through their website.
